These online store terms and conditions ("Terms") apply to the online store owned and operated by Kultaseppämestari Tarkkanen Oy ("Tarkkanen" or "we") at www.tarkkanen.fi ("Online Store") and to the purchase of Tarkkanen's products ("Products") through the Online Store.

Tarkkanen reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. The updated terms and conditions will apply to orders placed on or after the date of entry into force of the new terms and conditions.
By ordering products from the online store or otherwise using the online store, you express your acceptance of these terms and conditions. By accepting these terms and conditions, you are also aware that we may send you email and/or text messages relating to your order.
Please note that orders from the online shop can only be placed by individuals who do not have a retail business. We therefore do not accept orders from companies, associations or other legal entities. We kindly ask corporate customers to contact us at mika[at]tarkkanen.fi so that we can agree on the terms of delivery separately in writing.
We currently only deliver products from the online shop to Finland. In other cases, please contact our atelier directly.

If you create your own account in the online shop, you will also create a personal username and password. You must keep your username and password confidential. You are personally responsible for all purchases made using your account and password and agree to notify Tarkkanen without delay if your username and/or password is compromised by a third party, in which case Tarkkanen reserves the right to suspend or delete your account without prior notice.
Your personal data will be processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Personal data and payment information will be processed using encrypted communication.
You are responsible for ensuring that the purchase and account information you provide in connection with online shopping transactions is up-to-date, complete and accurate. You are responsible for promptly updating your account information and other information, such as your email address, so that we can complete your purchase and contact you when necessary.
You can use the product information in the online shop to verify this. If the content of the online shop differs from the information provided on another website or other source, the information provided in the online shop at the time of purchase will apply. Tarkasse reserves the right, at its discretion, to update the product descriptions of the products at any time without prior notice.
Please note that products are handmade and each product is unique.
The majority of the products in Tarkkanen's online store are made-to-order products and are manufactured only to order. For this reason, the availability of products is good, but please note the delivery time for each product. Tarkkanen reserves the right, without notice or liability, to change, suspend or discontinue the manufacture and sale of any product.
The price charged for the product is the price indicated in the online shop at the time of ordering. The price will be displayed in the shopping cart before checkout and confirmed in the order confirmation (defined below). If the price indicated in the online shop is incorrect due to an obvious typographical or other obvious error, the incorrect price is not binding on Tarkkanen.
Tarkkanen reserves the right to change prices without prior notice. The revised prices shall apply to orders placed after the effective date of the price change.
Shipping costs are not charged for products delivered to Finland. Our online shop is currently only available in Finland, if you wish to order products to other countries, please contact us.
Prices and charges are expressed in euros. All our product prices are total prices and include VAT.
Your order is a binding decision to purchase the products listed in your order. We may, at our discretion, refuse to accept orders. When you place an order to purchase a product from Tarkkanen, we will acknowledge receipt of your order by email. This email will contain details of your order and will indicate that we have received your order. Once your order has been processed, we will send you an order confirmation email ("Order Confirmation"). We recommend that you keep the Order Confirmation as it is your proof of purchase.

The estimated delivery time for ordered products varies from product to product. For our products shipped from stock, the processing time is 1-3 days and the delivery time is 1-5 days. For on-demand products, the estimated delivery time is 1-3 weeks. Please note that the delivery time given is always an estimate and may be longer, for example in the case of complex modifications. The delivery time is calculated from the date of the order confirmation.
Tarkkanen shall be liable for defects in delivery and products delivered in accordance with applicable mandatory legislation. If the products you receive are defective or do not correspond to your order, or if the delivery is incomplete or damaged in transit, please contact Tarkkanen's studio immediately.
If the delivery is defective or if the products received by you are found to be defective within the meaning of the applicable mandatory legislation, we will correct the defect without undue delay. If the complaint results in the return of the products to Tarkkanen, Tarkkanen will be responsible for the shipping costs of such return.
You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receipt of the ordered products. If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal, you must contact our studio by e-mail within this period. Please note that products made to order and made to order are not subject to this right. Please do not use our social media channels to make announcements regarding your order, as we may not follow these channels regularly.
Please note that if a delivery is returned to us undelivered and you have not notified us of your wish to exercise your right of withdrawal, we reserve the right to charge a manufacturing and handling fee.
Product returns must be made to the address provided by Tarkkanen without delay and within 14 days of the date of the cancellation notice.
When you exercise your right of withdrawal, you will be responsible for all return costs, except in cases where the products you have received are found to be defective.
You are obliged to handle the products in your possession with care. You must pack the returned products carefully so that they are not damaged in transit. We recommend using the original packaging. If you no longer have the original packaging, please use other suitable packaging that will adequately protect the product from damage in transit. All accessories and parts that came with the product must be returned with the product. If you have used the product, handled or packaged it carelessly, or otherwise handled the product in any way other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics or functionality of the product, you will be liable for any reduction in the value of the returned products up to the full price of the products.
Once you have exercised your right of withdrawal, Tarkkanen will refund any payment received for the products. The refund will be processed within 14 days of receipt of your cancellation notice using the same payment method you used to order the products. You will not be charged any additional fees for the refund. Tarkkanen has the right to withhold the refund until it has received the returned products.
All intellectual property and other rights (including, without limitation, rights in trademarks, products, designs, graphics, illustrations, text and sounds) relating to the Online Store are owned by or licensed to Tarkkanen. Tarkkanen reserves all intellectual property and other rights in the Online Store.
Tarkkanen shall not be liable for any failure to deliver due to an event beyond Tarkkanen's reasonable control, which Tarkkanen could not reasonably have foreseen at the time of the conclusion of the agreement and the effects of which Tarkkanen could not reasonably have avoided or overcome.
The Online Shop is provided to customers "as is" without warranty. To the extent permitted by applicable mandatory law, we disclaim all warranties, terms and conditions other than those expressly provided for in these terms and conditions. We do not warrant that the products are fit for the particular purpose for which you intend to use them.
To the extent permitted by mandatory law, we will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of data or goodwill, or any other loss or damage arising out of your use of, inability to use, the content of the online store or these terms and conditions, whether in contract, tort or otherwise.
Please note that these terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer, which cannot be removed or limited by contract. Nor do these conditions exclude or limit any liability which cannot be legally limited or excluded by mandatory law, such as liability for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence.
The Online Store may contain links to third party websites or services. However, we have no control over these linked sites or services, each of which has its own separate terms of use and/or privacy and data collection practices, independent of Tarkanen. These linked websites and services are provided solely to support your use of them and you therefore use them at your own risk.
If any part of these terms and conditions is found to be unenforceable (including terms where we limit our liability to you), this will not affect the other parts of the terms and conditions, which will remain in force. The unenforceable provision will be replaced by a provision that is as close as possible to the original meaning and in accordance with applicable law.
These terms and conditions, the online shop and the purchase transactions made in the online shop shall be governed by Finnish law, unless otherwise provided by mandatory law.
